THE QUICKIE

THE QUIKIE
How we go to work over here. On my way there I just popped into a studio for a quickie. She told me to walk in(the studio),it was dark and we were all alone. Then she put it on(the lights switch ) and boom,it was camera, lights and action .I was looking forward to the action part,so she touched me softly here and theeeere(for the right pose) and told me statue (not to move).I was anxious and i held my breath."Tuck it in"(the tummy),she ordered like a troop commander and i obeyed -You know her wish is my command and right now i was not following the 10 commandments. Then she busted,am coming and she walked out. A second later she was back with eager desperation to get it done. I was standing there like a maasai moran ready to strangle a lion. Suddenly and without trepidation, she put it in(the camera pin that connects to the flash) and suddenly she screamed...one..two..threee..cheese eeeeee The quickie was all over and i stood there just hanging like a coat hanger and off she left.(to the computer room.) to process my photo.

WE ARE ONE.

Looking forward to the conclusion of the elections cycle.
The salesman needs to go back to work.
To grind and oil the wheels of the Nation.
At the end of the day we all need to work to eat.
Expect no manna from heaven.
Keep the peace.
See you soon in the field.
Support my hustle when i knock your door, i will support your hustle when you knock on mine.
We're all united in the fight against poverty, ignorance and disease
Yet i don't know your name.
Call me Raiyammoja, a kenyan joe.
We are all wananchi not yet wenyenchi.
We need to hold hands together to pull together in Harambee.
Lets lift one up; drop your hand and pull one more up.
Together we are united in our struggle to play our role and make a difference.
Make Kenya better than we found it,
That way our children playing together in the streets will have a better future.
What will You bequeath unto the future.
Tujipange : Tuungane : Tupaae pamoja.
A POEM- Dock on the bay.
So he sits and watches as time ebbs away
Like a dove sitting on a tree's edge
Along the dock on the bay
The waves and tides change the game
And the sea slowly slides far away
His day's goal seem so near away
That's the plight of a salesman's day
Locked in the day with no sales
Tomorrow he'll rise again
These path's he knows too well
He can't afford to give his hope away
What will be left with hope no more
Till the last breath he'll march away
March through hell if that's what it'll take
To makes sales and make his hay
The sun shines not every day
Sometimes it's rain all through the day
The way is muddy, rainy and wet
Still the goals set must be met
To him there's no let up till he gets his pay
He'll stand in the rain till the last drop
Then the sun will shine and light his way
Hard times don't last but hard people do
He heard that in class eight
Eight five add thirty five still digging
Keep digging till you find the diamond
Along the way you get lemons
Make lemonade,fight your demons
Feed your fear with courage
Failure love company,stay away
Sometimes you'll have to walk away
Watch the game at the dock from the bay
Like the dove sitting on the tree's edge
And time ebbs away.
You make it.

TO REMOVE IT OR NOT.

"Remove it jimmy" ,she whispered. Her voice was as always ,calm and soft like a pink petal .Her voice was one of the things that made me follow her orders like the 11th commandment.
We were all alone in these dark room with a candle lit at the corner. I was unsure of removing it or letting her remove it. These was my first time to face it and I was unsure of how it would end.
She was loosing her patience and from the other room delicious airborne particles wafted into our room. I knew the meal that awaited me was to die for. I was ready to die now or never. Who wouldn't die for things like these. However ,I confess I was eager but inside I was shaking like a leaf.

She moved closer to me like a lioness cornering a gazelle .My heart started beating,my legs which were ever strong and had recently run a mile and a half turned into jelly. I couldn't speak to resist her moves but only mumble incoherently.
I knew it was now or never, someday a man has to face his fears (I could hear those words from my father thundering in my eardrums). It was a done deal.
She grabbed me by my collar of my shirt and removed it. What followed my friend I can't even explain.
..
....uuuch

Woi..

........,..........@#$%&...
......
She took the spirit and G.V and applied it on my shoulder wound as instructed by the doctor. I neither cried nor screamed, all I wanted was to join my family in enjoying our Christmas meal.

My mother looked at me and smiled, "we have to treat that wound you know, go and wash your hands". I dashed off to the dining hall.

It was Christmas in 1978,that year in August we had lost Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and I lost my fear.
My dad and mum are with the ancestors, how I will miss them these Christmas. When I tell a story to my kids these Christmas ,I know they will listen in and remember all those stories they told me when I was Young.
More so I hope they will see themselves here on earth inside these kids.
If your parent(s) are still with you these Christmas tell them a story.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays from myself, Luci Mumbe and our family.
From God to you and to me.

AFRICA-CHINA RELATIONSHIP.

#Africa_China relations

China and Africa have a history of trade relations, sometimes through third parties, dating back as far as 202 BC and AD 220. The first mention of Africa in Chinese sources was in the Yu-yang-tsa-tsu by Tuan Ch'eng-shih (died 863), a compendium of general knowledge where he wrote about the land of Po-pa-li (referring to Somalia).

Archaeological excavations at Mogadisho, Banaadir, Somalia and Kilwa Masoko, Tanzania have recovered many coins from China. The majority of the Chinese coins date to the Song Dynasty, although the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty are also represented, according to Richard Pankhurst. In 1226 Chao Jukua, commissioner of foreign trade at Quanzhou in the Fujian province of China, completed his Chu-fan-chih (Description of Barbarous Peoples) which discusses #Zanzibar (Ts'ong-pa) and Somalia (Pi-P'a-Lo).

In the 14th century, Moroccan traveler and scholar Ibn Battuta made a long journey to Africa and Asia. He reached China in April 1345 after a stay in India before serving as an envoy of Sultan Muhammad Tughlaq of the Indian Tughlaq dynasty to China.

The Ming Dynasty voyages of Chinese admiral Zheng He and his fleet, which rounded the coast of Somalia and followed the coast down to the Mozambique Channel. The goal of those expeditions was to spread Chinese culture and signal Chinese strength. Zheng brought gifts and granted titles from the Ming emperor to the local rulers, with the aim of establishing a large number of tributary states. In October 1415, Chinese explorer and admiral Zheng He reached the eastern coast of Africa and sent the first of two giraffes as gifts to the Chinese Yongle Emperor.

There are some other accounts that mention Chinese ships sinking near Lamu Island in Kenya in 1415. Survivors are said to have settled in the island and married local women.

Archaeologists have found Chinese porcelains made during the Tang dynasty (618–907) in Kenyan villages; however, these were believed to have been brought over by Zheng He during his 15th century ocean voyages. On Lamu Island off the Kenyan coast, local oral tradition maintains that 20 shipwrecked Chinese sailors, possibly part of Zheng's fleet, washed up on shore there hundreds of years ago. Given permission to settle by local tribes after having killed a dangerous python, they converted to Islam and married local women. Now, they are believed to have just six descendants left there; in 2002, DNA tests conducted on one of the women confirmed that she was of Chinese descent. Her daughter, Mwamaka Sharifu, later received a PRC government scholarship to study traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in China.

National Geographic also published an article by Frank Viviano in July 2005, he visited Pate Island during the time he stayed on Lamu, ceramic fragments had been found around Lamu which the administrative officer of the local Swahili history museum claimed were of Chinese origin, specifically from Zheng He's voyage to east Africa. The eyes of the Pate people resembled Chinese and Famao and Wei were some of the names among them which were speculated to be of Chinese origin. Their ancestors were said to be from indigenous women who intermarried with Chinese Ming sailors when they were shipwrecked. Two places on Pate were called "Old Shanga", and "New Shanga", which the Chinese sailors had named. A local guide who claimed descent from the Chinese showed Frank a graveyard made out of coral on the island, indicating that they were the graves of the Chinese sailors, which the author described as "virtually identical", to Chinese Ming dynasty tombs, complete with "half-moon domes" and "terraced entries".

According to Melanie Yap and Daniel Leong Man in their book "Colour, Confusions and Concessions: the History of Chinese in South Africa", Chu Ssu-pen, a Chinese mapmaker, in 1320 had southern Africa drawn on one of his maps. Ceramics found in Zimbabwe and South Africa dated back to Song dynasty China. Some tribes to Cape Town's north claimed descent from Chinese sailors during the 13th century, their physical appearance is similar to Chinese with paler skin and a Mandarin sounding tonal language. Their name for themselves is "abandoned people", Awatwa in their language.

HEALTHY ALKALINE CUP

*HEALTH WAY CUP*

The human body must keep its pH within a very narrow range in other to survive and function.

The human body is built to naturally maintain a healthy balance of acidity and alkalinity.
The lungs and kidney play a vital role in this process. A normal blood pH level is 7.40 on a scale of 0-14, where 0 is the most acidic and 14 is the most basic.

If the lungs or kidney are malfunctioning, your blood's pH level can become unbalanced.

Disruption in your acid base balance can lead to medical conditions known as *acidosis* and *akalosis*. Both conditions require treatment. For you to balance the alkaline level, you need to eat foods that consist of 80% alkaline and 20% acid, such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, herbs, herbal tea, etc....

Alkaline cup can also help a great deal in alkalinizing our water. This cup help to convert acid water into alkaline water which when taken reduces the high acid level in the body thereby balancing the pH of the body.

 *BENEFITS*
1) it eliminates toxic and heavy metals from the water there by making suitable for the body.
